Daylight Saving time information for Intuity

The INTUITY 5.1 was designed to automatically accommodate the change to/from Daylight Savings time in the Spring and Fall, however, this feature must be enabled first.

PLEASE NOTE *Intuity 4.4 will not change the time automatically in March and November. DST should be disabled in 4.4*

From the INTUITY Main Menu, select:

< Customer/Services Administration >

< System Management >

< UNIX Management >

< UNIX Date and Time >

The field, 'Is Daylight Savings in effect?' should be set to 'Yes' for the INTUITY to automatically adjust for Daylight Savings time in 5.1 ONLY.

DST SHOULD BE DISBALED IN 4.4 and TIME CHANGED MANUALLY TWICE A YEAR.

Set this field to 'No' if the INTUITY is located in an area that does not observe the Daylight Savings Time change (such as Arizona).

The INTUITY software is programmed to automatically make this change through the year 2038.

NOTES:

If NO changes to the 'Time Zone' field where made, the INTUITY should recognize time changes without having to reboot the system.

If changes WERE made to the Time Zone field, OR the INTUITY is not recognizing the time change, a reboot of the system may be necessary.

If the 'Daylight Savings Time Used' (DST) field is set to 'yes', then no adjustments need to be made for Daylight Savings Time changes in the spring and fall. The INTUITY is programmed to automatically make the necessary adjustments until the year 2038.

The INTUITY time does NOT synchronize with the switch time. Therefore, it is advisable to verify the INTUITY time is correct at least once a month.
